ResCare Premier San Marcos, Texas announces the opening of 10 two bedroom, two and a half bath supervised apartments

San Marcos, Texas, January 30, 2004 – ResCare Premier, a leading national provider of programs and services for persons with acquired brain injury, today announces the opening of Hutchinson Place Apartments. Hutchison Place Apartments offers “state of the art” housing for supported living and community based residential rehabilitation.

These apartments create a bridge from our existing San Marcos-based supervised group homes to our independent supported apartments. According to Mr. Charles J. (“CJ”) James, Senior Program Director, ResCare Premier San Marcos, “We specifically designed these apartments for individuals with acquired brain injury. They will be a licensed and supervised environment that will assist participants as they transition to greater independence or they can be a truly comfortable long-term home for participants with on-going needs for modest levels of supervision.”

Located in a lovely residential neighborhood just three blocks from downtown San Marcos, Hutchinson Place Apartments offer both standard and fully accessible units. These fully furnished apartments include such amenities as microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, smoke detectors, and housekeeping and linen service. Assigned parking is available and the apartments are conveniently located across the street from a Capital Area Rural Transportation System (“CARTS”) bus stop on route number 9.

“Programmatically these apartments are fully integrated into our residential rehabilitation, supported living, and Supports Without Limits™ services,” noted Joanne McGee, Ph.D., Clinical Director of ResCare Premier’s operations in Texas, “Residents have access to a full array of clinical services with particular emphasis on volunteer placements, vocational services, and where appropriate, competitive employment.”

ResCare Premier is an in-network provider for many national and regional health care insurance companies, Workers’ Compensation insurers, and on a limited basis, will enter into Security and Assignment of Proceeds Agreements. Since opening its doors in 1989, ResCare Premier has expanded and developed programs to meet the diverse needs of individuals with acquired brain injury. As a unique group of interrelated treatment facilities, residential communities, and specialty programs located across the United States and Canada, we offer a full continuum of rehabilitation and residential services designed to meet treatment needs “from the door of the hospital to the door of the home – or any door that opens opportunity for our participants” sm
