Ms.
Sarita Rickli, Program Director, ResCare Premier Milan noted, “We
are extremely pleased with the licensing review and the assistance
provided by the Office of Children and Adult Licensing. All ResCare
Premier homes use standardized policies, procedures, and measurements,
which greatly facilitates the licensing process. This consistency
allows me, as a Program Director, to focus most of my efforts on
the Individual Outcome Goal Planssm
of our participants.”
“The response
to our first home has been incredible,” noted Mayra Ramos,
Michigan State Director for ResCare Premier, “Family members,
participants, case managers, insurance adjusters, and everyone else
who has toured has been very complimentary of the individualization
of our participants’ programs and the pleasantness of our
environment. Based on this feedback, we have already begun the process
to open a second home in the Milan area, which we hope to have ready
by the end of the year.”
Ms.
Ramos stated, “ResCare Premier Milan will have an open house
from 2 – 5 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2004. We encourage those
interested in community based services for persons with acquired
brain injury to attend. The ResCare Premier Michigan team is eager
to show the new facility and the program we have developed.”

“Milan
is the first step in ResCare Premier’s plan to bring programs
and supports to under-served areas of Michigan,” stated Ms.
Cathy Breneman, R.N., C.L.C.P., Director of Business Development.
“Our goal is to bring services closer to where people live,
rather than ask people to come to where we are located. Based on
input from our participants and customers, we will be opening homes
in Detroit, Kalamazoo, Marquette, Traverse City, and Saginaw in
the near future.”
ResCare Premier is an in-network provider for many national and
regional health care insurance companies, workers’ compensation
insurers, auto no fault insurers and on a limited basis, will enter
into Security and Assignment of Proceeds Agreements. Since opening
its doors, ResCare Premier has expanded and developed programs to
meet the diverse needs of individuals with acquired brain injury.
As a unique group of interrelated treatment facilities, residential
communities, and specialty programs located across the United States
and Canada, we offer a full continuum of rehabilitation and residential
services designed to meet treatment needs “from the door of
the hospital to the door of the home – or any door that opens
opportunity for our participants.” sm
